Service Description

The luxurious Granary Cottage is on two floors. Converted from the former granary and cart lodge, the result is two spacious rooms each 23x15 ft. The downstairs room has retained the original broad entrance - now with double-glazing - which opens to the lounge. Huge ceiling beams have been refinished with a lime render, conveying a period feel without dark or black colours. Liming dates back to farm days, when it was used as a timber preservative. The glazed entry looks out onto a private paved and grass area, with garden furniture. An internal staircase spirals up to the delightful bedroom, with two large timbers supporting the coved ceiling, plus original half-timbering and painted brickwork. Furnished with a 4’6” double bed, the bedroom has an additional small conversation area and the en-suite bathroom includes a romantic double-ended bath and shower over.
